ANNA POSTMA AUG. 2, 1919 - FEB. 17, 2007 Anna Postma, 87, of Oakdale died Saturday at the Bethany Home in Ripon. Mrs. Postma was born in the Netherlands. She immigrated to Canada with her husband and 3 small children in 1947. And in 1954, the family moved to California. She lived in the Oakdale area for the last 35 years of her life. She was a member of Community Christian Reformed of Oakdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nies, and their youngest son, Ted. She is survived by her children: Johanna and Duane Mulder of Santa Rosa, Bill and Eva Postma of Anaheim, John Postma and David Karp of Cloverdale, Edward and Akke Postma of the Netherlands, Jane and John Erro of Oakdale, Charlie and Diana Postma of Modesto, and Jim Postma of Oakdale; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hillie Neelis, of the Netherlands. They thank God for her life of love and service. A service will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, February 22, at Community Christian Reformed Church. Burial will follow at Burwood Cemetery, Escalon. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Deegan Funeral Chapel, Ripon. Remembrances may be made to Homeless Prenatal Program, 2500 18th St., San Francisco, CA 94116 and Bethany Home, Patient Activity Fund, 930 West Main St., Ripon, CA 95366.
