ANNABELLE GISH JUN 25, 1916 - NOV 2, 2009 Annabelle Gish was raised on a farm at 5437 Blue Gum Avenue in Modesto with two sisters and one brother. Her brother Charles lived at the home place on Blue Gum Avenue until 2005 when he moved to Arizona. Annabelle's son Daniel and grandson Dean bought the home place farm and now lives there. Annabelle enjoyed many visits to the home place where she was raised over 90 years ago. She enjoyed many special memories: the home she was raised in, the tank house she played in, the barn she climbed in, and the trees where she rescued the tiny birds''. Precious memories! How they linger! Annabelle was an excellent seamstress. She sewed her own dresses and those for many others. She was an excellent cook and provided guests frequently with a fine evening meal. Annabelle enjoyed gardening and raising African Violets as a hobby. Singing was a special gift of hers and she used it during her last days as she lay in bed waiting for the Lord to call her home. She was a blessing in the lives of many. At a young age, Annabelle accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized into the Old German Baptist Church in Modesto. She continued as a faithful servant of Him throughout her life and is now in His presence for eternity. Annabelle is survived by her children; Sylvia Vanderford of Roseville, Daniel & Ann Crawmer of Modesto and Janice & John Eller of Ohio; her brother Charles & Ruby Bowman of Arizona; 10 grand- children and 21 great grand- children.
