Modesto, CA- Our beloved father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend completed his life on Wednesday, January 6, 2022, in Modesto, California and was reunited with his parents, friends and family.
Antonio was born on October 18, 1935 in Povoacao, Sao Miguel to Francisco F. Medeiros and Maria Jose Cardoso and was the youngest boy with two brothers and two sisters. He took great care to conduct his life in a manner to be worthy of this name.
Antonio was born and raised in Povoacao, Sao Miguel, Portugal. He immigrated to the United States in 1966 and earned a technical degree in Engineering. Antonio worked for Atari as a Quality Engineer Manager for many years, as well serving as a Democratic Delegate for his Assembly District.
He married his sweetheart, Telma Freitas Fraga, on September 28, 1963 in Ponta Delgada. Together they had three children, to whom he dedicated his life. Jose, Telma, and Louis.
Antonio was a devoted and faithful member of the Catholic Church his entire life. He was a relentless breadwinner, a kind, generous, honest, genuine and loyal man. He was a keeper of confidences and came to the aid of many, no matter the distance, time or cost. He was a perfect example of the Christian precept of loving and not passing judgment on anyone.
He loved his family and supported them in all of their endeavors. Countless hours were spent attending sporting events, graduations and special events for all of his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Jose Medeiros, Telma Rangel, Louis Medeiros, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and his sister, Alda Maria Medeiros Barros.
Service will be conducted at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 709 J St. on 18 January 2022 at 10 AM.
