Augustina Gonzalez Obituary

AUGUSTINA ESPINOZA GONZALEZ JULY 29, 1923 - APRIL 26, 2008 Loving bride of 55 years to Juan Gonzalez. Beautiful and loving mother of Nena (Al), Jimmy (Margaret), John (Martha), Joy, Maria (Alphonso). Grandmother of 17, Great-Grandmother of 30, Great- Great-Grandmother of 5. Loving sister to 5 remaining brothers and 3 sisters. Proceeded in death by 5 siblings and one daughter, Cecelia (Domingo). Mom always put others before herself and loves her family unconditionally. She lived her life to the fullest, treating everyone like a rare treasure. Her pride and joy are every single one of her grandchildren. She was our teacher. Teaching us us all how to smile, laugh, touch, talk, eat, respect and forgive but most of all how to love. She taught us by example. She loved her garden, her roses, her animals. She loved to dance, sing and whistled all the time as she made tortillas with butter for us. You could always expect your favorite foods waiting for you on the stove when you went to visit. She loved to give herself to everyone. She was a strong woman who fought a long hard battle with Leukemia. Mom will be deeply missed but we know she will be with each and every one of us because her faith in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is so strong. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 1, 2008, Our Lady of Fatima Church, 505 West Granger Ave., Modesto, CA 95350.www.modbee.com/obituaries
