BOB MOSS SEPT. 19, 1943 - JUNE 26, 2008 Bob Moss - September 19, 1943 - June 26, 2008. Adored husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, OK on Thursday, June 26, 2008. At the time of his death, Bob was surrounded and comforted by his wife, Joann, and three sons, Don, Ron and Steve Moss. Bob will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, love of all things outdoors and the legacy of sportsmanship he passes on to his children and grandchildren. In 1963 Bob married his high school sweetheart, Joann McDonald, and they celebrated their 45th anniversary on June 22nd of this year. The love and respect Bob and Joann shared for each other was admired by all who knew them. Together they raised their boys, always making sure to enrich their lives through the experiences and adventures of hunting, fishing and traveling. Bob and Joann welcomed daughters-in-law to their family and thrilled in the arrival of three grandsons, one granddaughter, and one grand puppy. Bob worked at Proctor and Gamble for 27 years, beginning as the only Manager hired from Modesto for the Modesto P&G plant start-up. Throughout his years with P&G, Bob and family relocated to Canada and Japan and came to love many of the people and traditions in both countries. Along with the P&G plants in Canada and Japan, Bob facilitated builds of additional plants in China, Bangkok, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia. After his retirement'' at the age of 52, Bob opened The Gun Rack'' where for several years he enjoyed gun smithing and sharing stories with many of his friends. Bob was fortunate enough to spend the last of his years fishing and hunting with his sons and dearest friends. He was never without a fantastic and funny hunting or fishing story to share. Bob was a member of the Comanche Hills Hunting Preserve, the Old Fisherman's Club and a lifetime member of the NRA. Bob is survived by his wife, three sons, two brothers, one sister, four grandchildren and many, many people who loved him like family. He is proceeded in death by his mother and father, Thelma and Virgil Moss. A visitation will be held on Wednesday July 2, 2008 at Salas Brothers Funeral Home in Modesto from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Salas Brothers on Thursday July 3, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.www.modbee.com/obituaries
