Modesto, California - Bryan Jerome Harrison Sr., 92, of Modesto, California, passed away on December 7, 2023. He was born on June 14, 1931. Bryan was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Bryan is survived by his sons Bryan Jr. (Cathy) of Boerne, Texas and Allen (Karen) of Salida, California. He was a grandfather to Adam Harrison, Ashley Harrison, Michael Harrison, Bryan Josh Harrison, and Megan Harrison. Bryan was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Margaret, his son David, and his grandson Charles David.
Bryan proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War.
In his professional life, Bryan retired as a Laboratory Manager at Gould Medical Foundation. He graduated from Southeastern State University in Oklahoma.
Bryan was an active member of The Church of the Cross. He found joy in his hobbies which included fishing, camping, bowling, traveling, and Civil War history.
A funeral service will be held on December 18, 2023, at 9:00 AM at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, California.

Bryan was one of my best buddies over the 20 years we worked together! We always enjoyed our lunches and visits together, which were filled with memories of our enjoyable times working with all the great Docs and employees that helped make what Gould Medical what is today! God bless we still miss you Bryan!

I fondly recall and cherish the times spent with Bryan. He was best friends with my father-in-law, Bob Dieterich. They served on the American Legion Post 74 Honor Guard for many years. I could always count on Bryan and Bob to present the our nation's colors at my Tribute to Veterans presentations and at countless military funerals. They also joined the Modesto Elks Lodge 1282 and were very supportive of the veteran's events. Bob passed in 2009 and Bryan served in the funeral honor guard and presented the American flag to Mary Lou Dieterich, Bob's wife. God Bless Bryan!
