Daphene "Dee" Renfore passed away on May 30, 2015 in Modesto at the age of 74. Daphene was born in Texas on May 9, 1941. She and her husband, Lonnie have been residents of the Modesto and Stockton area as well as the Monterey and Palm Springs area for the past 40 years.
Daphene leaves behind her husband, Lonnie Renfroe Jr., her children: Brady Wilson (Mo) of Alaska, Jay Wilson (Donna) of Washington and Teresa Ortega of Modesto, her grandchildren: Matt Wilson of Alaska, Jeffery Wilson and Shawn Wilson both of Washington, Raymond Beltran and Reggie Beltran of San Francisco and Cesar Ortega of Modesto, as well as 3 great grandchildren, and her brother, Cletus Cox of Modesto. Daphene is preceded in death by four sisters and one brother. Daphene was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.
"I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun, of happy memories that I leave when life is done."
Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapels. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon, followed by a chapel service beginning at 11:00 AM. There will be a graveside service immediately following at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon.
