Eileen DiSanto Obituary

Eileen Mary DiSanto

October 30, 1935 - December 7, 2024

Modesto, California - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Eileen DiSanto on December 07, 2024. She was surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer and Parkinson's.

Eileen was born in Liverpool, England where she lived for the first 18 years of her life. She met an American Air Force Airman, Dennis DiSanto at a dance. He often missed the bus back to base because he couldn't tear himself away from her. Dennis and Eileen married and moved to the United States.

Soon after arriving in Minnesota they had their first son, Michael, followed by their daughter Nena. Finding the winters too extreme, they headed to San Diego, California where they welcomed Timothy, Christina and Susan. Dennis' career in the soft drink industry continued with promotions and greater opportunities so they moved to Ventura, CA and welcomed their final child, Joseph.

Eileen was raising six kids and made moving every two years look effortless. From Minnesota to California to Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Hawaii, California, Florida then back to California. Modesto is where they made their final home. Ten out of eleven grandchildren were born and raised and still live in Modesto.

Eileen was very active and kept herself busy by working with her husband at the family business as well as participating in the grandchildren's activities. She and Dennis enjoyed golfing and played Chicken Foot every Friday night. Eileen's favorite activity was going to the casino with her best friend, Sally Sanborn.

Eileen was very friendly, witty, generous and will be missed by many. Although we are comforted knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband Dennis.

Eileen was preceded in death by sons Michael, Timothy and granddaughter Elizabeth. She is survived by her children Nena, Christina, Susan,Joseph, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Thank you mom for a lifetime of wonderful memories.

Eileen and I had such fun golfing together. Sometimes we golfed with our husbands on Sunday afternoons. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a sparkling personality. She will be missed.
