Ernest V. O'Gaffney

ERNEST V. O'GAFFNEY MAY 31, 1942 - AUG 28, 2009 Ernest V. O'Gaffney, Billings, MO, was born May 31, 1942 in San Francisco, CA and departed this life August 28, 2009 in his home, at the age of 67. Ernest had lived in the area the past four years coming from Modesto, CA. He was co-owner of Reliable Stage Lines, a tour bus company in California, for a number of years. Ernest was very involved with politics in city, county, state and national government. He is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for riding a motorcycle around the world raising money for children's charities. Ernest was a U. S. Army veteran. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia O'Gaffney and step-daughter, Rhonda Talley. Survivors include: wife, Nadine (Dunn) O'Gaffney; three sons, Richard O'Gaffney, Kevin O'Gaffney and Jonathan O'Gaffney; one daughter, Jennifer O'Gaffney; children's mother, Janice O'Gaffney; one step-son, Randy Dunn; 6 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thurs., Sept. 3, 2009 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield with Rev. Rick Crawshaw and David Stokley officiating under the direction of Manlove-Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri (417)723-5239.
