Felix was taken on March 9th in his home in Modesto, Ca. He is survived by his wife Cynthia Nevarez, daughters Estela Valdez, Crystal Nevarez, grandchildren and son-in-law.
Felix enjoyed fishing, football, Nascar and gardening. He loved being surrounded by his six grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest on March 21 @ 11 am at New Bethany Baptist Church, 315 6th St, in Modesto, Ca. Celebration of life will be held at Modesto Center Plaza, 1000 I St following service.

Felix was in all the years probably the most understanding and wonderful person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and even more grateful to have been part of our family. He never treated me as an in-law he always said that I was his sister and I felt the same about him. My most treasured moment of him was when he was stationed in Japan, I was 15 years old I had sent him a picture of me and a short time later I received a package containing the most beautiful hand painted portrait of me on a large cloth, I felt so special that day. I still have that picture and will treasure it forever. FELIX I FEEL THAT YOU WERE THE BEST THING TO HAVE COME INTO MY SISTERS LIFE, I LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU VERY MUCH.

P.S. Your Compa said try and pull some strings up there for the Silver and Black for all of us this year and Thanks for being his Compa through all the years.

Pa, you we're the best grandpa that anyone could ever ask for you were the one that I looked up too. You are the reason that I wanted to become a police officer in the first place because when i was younger I remember that we would watch cops every night. I still cant believe that this is real I wish this was all a dream. Whenever I needed help you were always there for me no matter what the circumstance was. All I know is that I am going to make you proud of me and I know that you are no longer here with us but you will always be with us in our hearts. This is not a goodbye this is a I will see you later. I LOVE YOU PA I WILL SEE YOU LATER.

Felix, you we're always one of the best brother in laws ever. you came into our life when I was only 13 yrs old & took me to my first concert ever (James Brown). You have always been there for my children & me growing up 7 whenever I needed anything you were always there no matter what time of the day or night it would be. You were my hero & never ever made me feel like you didn't care. I already miss you so very much and I know you will still be there for me from above.When ever I shut my eyes I can still see your wonder smile so clearly. You're laugh I will always hear in the wind. I know your with the best of the best now and enjoy seeing all the family and friends you have missed. Give all my love to my baby boy (BETO) & while having your reunion toast to all of us you left behind. My father was a great man that was loved by many. He left us to soon, but I will cherish the time that we spent together. My dad was and is my world. He was the greatest grandpa that my kids could ever have, he taught us how to love one another, that family comes first before anything and that we take care of one another. To be a hard worker. His smile could light up a room and my world. I was blessed to have him as my father. He gave me to a great man that I call my husband knowing that he loved him like a son. He was the son my father always wanted. I know that my world his upside down and him dying makes no sense to me right now. But I will someday have peace just knowing that when it is my time to leave this world I will see my daddy again.
