Flor Amador

FLOR AMADOR FEB. 27, 1925 - JAN. 8, 2008 Flor Amador, 82, of Newman, died Tuesday at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City. Mrs. Amador was a native of Sombrerete, Mexico, and was a resident of Newman for 54 years. She worked for Tri Valley Growers as a Cannery Line Worker for 25 years and was a parishioner of St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Newman. She loved to garden, cook and enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Amador is survived by her sons, Joe Amador of Fair Oaks, Patrick Amador of San Jose, Rigo Amador of Modesto; daughters, Mary Fernandez of Newman, Sylvia Vela of Arizona, Nena Alvarez of Newman, Coco Perez of Newman; 21 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jose Amador who passed away in 1971. A visitation will be held from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12th followed by a Rosary/ Mass Service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Newman. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman.
