Frank Zumbach
November 30, 1928 - December 24, 2020
Escalon, California - Frank Zumbach passed away peacefully on December 24, 2020 in his home. He was 92 years old. Born November 30, 1928 in Stans, Switzerland, the first born of 3 children to Franz and Lina Zumbach. At the age of 14, he worked for various farmers, and at the age of 19, he went to Denmark where he worked on a farm for the next 4 years. At the age of 24 (1952) he immigrated to the U.S. to join up with his brother, Hans. He worked for Hans, Nita Wagner and various other jobs until he settled in with Nestle for the next 33 years. In 1956, he married Elsie Inderbitzen, his lifelong partner. They had two children, and settled in Modesto. Frank enjoyed all Swiss events, Swiss wrestling and Swiss music. He also enjoyed supporting his grandchildren in their sporting activities. He never missed a football game.
Frank is survived by his son; Frank Jr. (Donna Meyer) and daughter; Janie (Tom) Kaech, grandchildren; TJ (Amber) Kaech, Frank (Gabby) Kaech, Katie (David) Anderson and Christopher (Alexon) Zumbach and 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie (2002) and brother, Hans (1989). In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to San Joaquin Valley Swiss Club, P.O.
