Jack Harrison Obituary

Jack D. Harrison
May 27, 1942 - July 30, 2012
Jack D. Harrison, 70, passed away on July 30, 2012, in Port Townsend WA.  He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Mary.  They were married in Marin County CA on June 26, 1976.  In 1987, Jack and Mary moved to Port Townsend.  Jack is fondly remembered by his mother, Ellen Greer of Turlock CA and his brother Gene Harrison of Minden NV, and numerous relatives and friends.  Jack is predeceased by his father, Jack Harrison, who passed away in 1960.
Jack was born in Turlock CA on May 27, 1942.  He graduated from Turlock High School in 1960.  After graduation, he attended Portland State University and later the University of San Francisco.  Before retiring at age 60, Jack worked in the computer industry for 38 years, as a systems analyst and mainframe consultant, working for many of the largest companies in the country.
Jack was an avid sailor for almost 40 years.  He also pursued interests in karate, weight lifting, playing acoustic guitar and was a voracious reader.  During his younger years, his greatest passion was fast cars, having once owned a 409 Chevy.
Respecting Jack's wishes, there will be no funeral service or memorial.  His ashes will be scattered at sea, from he and Mary's 40 foot sloop, sometime next year.

I have a lot of good memories of Jack...mainly in our younge years...I was his baby sitter when he wasw 3 and I was sixteen.......later on when he grew up, we were good freinds.

I truly miss him even though we didn't see each other a lot in our older years......He came to the major family events.......... Where he was in my heart, there is an empty spot.

Love you always, Jack..........Ruth
