Lai Wong Obituary

Lai Jean Wong passed away from a long time illness at her home on the night of September 28, 2016. She moved to Stockton, CA from a small village in China in 1964 to be with her husband Wyman. They started a family business together called The Bow Bow Restaurant in Stockton, CA in 1965. Then they went on to open their own new restaurant in Modesto, CA called Lock Yuen in 1971.
Lai Jean was preceded in death by her husband Wyman Wong and her son Martin Wong. She was survived by her son Morton Wong and his family , Carrol, Sonny, Kami, Violet Dixon , and Matthew and Audrey Crist. Daughter in law Jenny and her 3 sons Mitchell, Jamie, and Michael Wong.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday October 9, 2016 at "The Chapel of the Palms" located at 303 South California St, in Stockton, CA at 11 AM. Dinner to follow at The Asain Palace,a nearby restaurant, following the Cemetery Services.
We would like to give a Special Thank You to Modesto Kidney Center and all her doctors that was always there for her in her time of illness.
Also a Special Thank you to all the loyal customers and friends that made their business successful for so many years.
