Maryellen Berryhill Obituary

Maryellen Ibarra-Berryhill was born on January 5, 1947 in Modesto, California. She passed peacefully on October 14, 2025 at the age of 78. Maryellen graduated from Modesto High and continued her education at Modesto Jr. College. She was a dental assistant before embracing her most cherished calling, motherhood. Maryellen was a devoted wife to Robert Berryhill and a loving mother to their three children: Jason, Alison, and Evan. Her family was the center of her world. She found joy in being a grandmother and adored Alton and Sakura. She had a passion for gardening and found peace and fulfillment in nurturing both plants and relationships. Her gentle style and loving nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Acacia Memorial Park, 801 Scenic Drive, Modesto, CA 95350.

Maryellen and I grew up in the same neighborhood and went all through school together. It never occurred to me that one of us would leave before the other! She was a sweetheart and will be missed. I had telephone repair here this morning and missed the service! Sending warm condolences to Margie, the boys and her children and family.
