I met Mike playing tennis at the High School Courts. He was playing with Greg A, and I with the Rowleys. We became friends. He helped me move from I Street in 1977. And ended up staying at my Uncle's place on 5th Ave. He also helped with the move to Eucalyptus. He came over often, and after work late evenings we would go to the Pool Hall in Empire to shoot pool. Lot's of fun, and as has been said, always laughing. I would keep my home cold as there were many single pane windows. Mike would drive up in his sports car, put on his jacket, and come in. We could see our breath in the air. He came to lots of parties, and always a fun time. Once at a costume affair his girlfriend dressed him in her best dress. Slit up the side, and I swear when I opened the door I didn't know who this 'chick' was. He said "Bob, it's Mike!" I was like, what? When he was looking for a new job after layoffs in Lodi he asked me to put his name on the list at Hershey's. He sure brightened it up out there. Again, always smiling, always laughing. After the Plant closed I saw him little. But he took it in stride. He was said to have a divorce. And loved his kids. His parents were special too. His Dad had known mine from the 'old days'. It was always nice to see them, and yes, they always smiled too! I do remember his mom complaining when Mike painted the walls and ceiling of his room black. He liked that color. But I am sure she smiled as she said it. Memories! I hope his family has as many as I do.

Mike was like a brother to me from the time I was very young. My brother Kevin and Mike had been good friends as long as I can remember. Whenever I would see Mike we wouldn't say a word we would just both begin to laugh I think it was because all we ever did together was laugh. At everything. But especially at ourselves. He was a friend and a big brother and I will always love and miss him.

Worked with Mike at Hershey's. He was so kind to my brother and I. He was always smiling. My condolences to the family.
