Patsy Argentini Obituary

Patsy Ruth Argentini
January 3, 1943 ~ March 25, 2017
Patsy Ruth Argentini, age 74, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 25 at her home surrounded by her family after battling ALS.
A little Norma Ray. A little Mary Poppins. A little Beverly Goldberg. She was Traditional. Ahead of her time. And, of her time.
Born in 1943, Patsy was the youngest of five children. It was the height of the 60's while dressed in a Jackie O suit that she married her Italian-American husband, Bernie.  The births of their three daughters soon followed.
Patsy was the quintessential mom -- decorating cakes and embroidering the coolest jeans, making homemade clothes for the classroom dolls, and always making sure there was family dinner on the table every night.  She also knew that if you looked good, you felt good. Or at least, felt better. She would tell her girls that no matter how rough things got to get out of your pj's, take a shower, spiff yourself up and your mood, and day, would follow suit.
Once the girls were all in school, Patsy went back to college and earned her accounting degree and started her own company. She became the go-to tax preparer for friends and family, and used her keen business acumen in the stock market. She and Bernie shared a love of travel and explored the world. From Vietnam to Italy to Russia, to a cruise down the Danube.
Patsy always saw the good in people and in life, but she wasn't above firing off a protest letter if the mood struck. Her love of helping others was only surpassed by her love of feeding her family and friends. Banana bread to Lemon Meringue pie to her infamous Chocolate Chip cookies. It's said that 'Food is Life'. Patsy knew that food is LOVE.
Above all else, Patsy loved her grandkids. They knew they wouldn't need a professional publicist because they could count on Grammy to put their latest accomplishments on the Wire (Facebook) before they made it home with their trophy. One of her happiest moments was surprising them with a trip to Italy and Paris this summer. Although her health didn't allow her to go along, she enthusiastically tracked their globetrotting across Europe posting pics on her FB page every step of the way.
And, it is worth noting, she was a knock out - Norma Jean Baker blossoming into Helen Mirren with the passage of time. Truly beautiful, inside and out.
She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. Most especially her two older sisters (Jean Erickson (Dick) and Yvonne Young), her daughters (Aileen Argentini , Darlene Sardinas (David), and Joey McKay (Mike), her five grandchildren (Dominique, Jack, Ashton, Gage and Sophia) and her husband of 52 years (Bernie) who lovingly scoured YouTube videos to make sure he could give her the best eyebrow arch as her disease progressed.
The family will be holding a private memorial to celebrate her life. In remembrance, she asked that you take your grandkids out for frozen yogurt in her honor, or make a donation to the ALS Association.

My most beloved and faithful friend has passed. I will so miss our impromptu dinners as I flew through town. She always made me feel at home in her home. We shared laughs and sorrows. I will forever cherish our friendship. Ciao and Godspeed
