Pearl Lenker Obituary

PEARL LENKER MAR 5, 1916 - NOV 3, 2008 Pearl was a very loving caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to everyone. All will remember her family dinners. She enjoyed crafts using shells she gathered on the beach with her husband in Mexico. An expert seamstress, Pearl taught sewing to 4H girls. Dee and Pearl traveled around the country in their trailer, camping, fishing and visiting friends and relatives. Born March 5, 1916 in Sioux County Nebraska, Pearl passed away on November 3, 2008 in Oakdale at the age of 92. She lived in Escalon for 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 yrs. Dee Lenker. Survived by her children, Don & Karen Lenker of Nipomo, CA., Glenn & Sandy Lenker of Cupertino, CA., Deanna & Don Miller of Tehachapi, CA. and Bob & Cathy Lenker of Tehachapi, CA.; 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; her siblings, Mabel Morgan of Harrison, Nebraska, twin sister, Anna St. John of Fresno, CA. and Howard & Jane Skavdahl of Richland, WA. Pearl loved God and attended her church regularly. A visitation will be held on November 6, 2008 from 3-5 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel 1441 San Joaquin St. Escalon, CA. Services will be held at Escalon United Methodist Church on Friday November 7, 2008 at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Burwood Cemetery at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to Escalon United Methodist Church in Pearls memory. Arrangements under the direction of Deegan Funeral Chapel.www.modbee.com/obituaries
