Rebecca Landes Obituary
March 24, 1955 - December 6, 2023
Modesto, California - Becky was born on March 24, 1955. She unexpectedly passed away on December 6th, 2023, at the age of 68.
Becky accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized on January 24th, 1969. Her dedication to the Lord was seen through her servants' heart and her joy in connecting with others.
Becky delighted in using her gift of hospitality to serve friends and strangers alike. She had the unique ability to be a friend who would listen with discernment. With her continuous smile and forgiving spirit, she formed many deep and special relationships.
She married her forever and lifetime love, Steven Landes, on February 10th, 1973, and to them were born four children, Nathan Landes (Melaine), Nannette Landes, Heidi Kruppstadt (Robert), and Shelley Westergard (Mark). Becky raised her children lovingly, supported Steve in his growing business, and then fulfilled her dream of becoming a nurse at the age of 50.
She is survived by her best friend and husband, Steve, her three daughters, who miss her dearly, ten grandchildren, whom she spoiled greatly, and two precious great-grandchildren, whom she had the pleasure to hold recently. She is preceded in death by her son Nathan and granddaughter Paige.
A Celebration of Life for Becky will be held at Big Valley Grace on Wednesday, December 13th at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored for a donation to be sent to the Marriage Ministry of Operation Heal our Patriots, at www.samaritanspurse.org

I was saddened recently to be told of your Beautiful & Loving Beloved wife, mother , Grandma & Great Grandma.
Knowing she dwells in the house of our Lord & Savior does make her make her passing a bit less . I was Blessed to know her and even more

I am saddened to hear about Becky. We were friends and neighbors, growing up. We spent a lot of time together, laughing and singing. I send my love and prayers to her wonderful family.

God Bless Becky's family. I'm from OH, she CA but our parents were friends and we became friends too. I haven't seen her in years but was quite shocked to hear she passed away. She will be missed. I pray God wraps His loving arms around this Family.

I had the privilege of Becky's friendship growing up in the same neighborhood and schools. While our backgrounds were quite different, I always admired her intellect and character. And I was always grateful that I was invited to witness her wedding to Steve, a wedding that I still remember very clearly. Gone too soon from this life. May her faith envelope her in the comfort of her afterlife, and may her family and friends find comfort in her memory. RIP dear Becky.
