I am so sorry to read this. I interacted many, many times with Richard on the radio as he worked at the Modesto Airport Control Tower. He was a very sharp and professional controller, and he put up with my "antics" as I flew around the pattern and local area. After Richard's retirement I met up with him at many of the breakfasts and lunches put on by the CAF (Confederate Air Force). We always enjoyed each other's company. I will greatly miss him.
