Richard Stubbert Obituary
Richard leaves behind five children, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved wife, Jean, in Modesto, CA; they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2025.
Richard had a distinguished career, having worked at Gallo Winery as a Security Sergeant before opening and operating On Target Firearms for fifteen years. Moreover, he served as a police officer with the Escalon Police Department for twenty-three years.
He graduated from the Los Angeles Police Academy and Modesto Junior College and was highly regarded as a knowledgeable firearms instructor. Upon retiring at the age of seventy, Richard enjoyed his retirement years pursuing interests such as travel, photography, Bible Study Fellowship, genealogy, and astronomy.
Richard was a devout man, dedicated to his family. A private celebration of Richard's life will be held with family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to consider donating to Sevia Hospice, Samaritan's Purse, or a charity of your choice.

I worked with Rich at Gallo Security many years ago and still remember him for his work ethic, common sense and sense of humor. He was a great sergeant to work for and had his officer's backs. RIP, Sir. You will be missed.
