Robert S. Loewen, of Winton CA, passed away on July 25, 2014, reaching the age of 73.
He was born on May 22, 1941, in Winton, to Pete and Marie Loewen. He was the 17th child in a family of 18 children. Robert worked in steel construction and was a truck driver. He loved music, and had his own band. Robert played the guitar. He wrote some of his own songs.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, 8 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his companion and caregiver of 2 years, Bertalee James of Hughson, and three brothers, Bill, Albert & Barbara, Raymond & Betty, all of Winton and three sisters, Agnes Hightower of Winton, Catherine & John May of Livingston, Alice Warkentin of Atwater and Donna Loewen of Winton.
Friends and family are welcome to attend visitation on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 10 am at Wilson Family Funeral Chapel, 1290 Winton Way, Atwater, CA. Funeral Service will begin at 11 am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Winton District Cemetery, Winton, CA.
