Rosalie Bambacigno Obituary

Rosalie (Rose) M. Bambacigno
December 5, 1928 - September 29, 2022
Oakdale, California - Rose passed away peacefully in the comfort of her care home, Graceful Living at Oakdale, with her daughter, Linda, by her side.
She is survived by her children, Linda Bernardi of Oakdale, CA, Debbie Farinha (Steve) of Modesto, CA, Mike Bambacigno (Carol) of Modesto, CA, grandchildren Greg Bernardi (Cathy) of Riverbank, CA, Chris Bernardi (Janet) of Oakdale, CA, Kellie Burgos (Alex) of Ripon, CA, Kim Barbaste (Richie) of Patterson, CA, Nichole Bednar (Kevin) of Mullica Hills, NJ, and Michelle Stewart of Modesto, CA, seven great-grandchildren, and siblings Mary Bambacigno of Modesto, CA and Joe Dugo of Turlock, CA.
Rose was preceded in death by her lifetime love, her husband, James (Jim) Bambacigno, her parents Biaggio Charles Dugo and Rosalia Maria Dugo, son-in-law, Robert Bernardi, and 9 siblings
Rose spent her youth living in Escalon, California and attended elementary and high school there She married her love, Jim, in 1950 and moved to rural Modesto where they lived and raised their family. Rose was known throughout Stanislaus County and beyond as an amazing cake baker and decorator. She spent over 45 years running her cake business from her home kitchen and made more wedding cakes and celebration cakes over the years than you can imagine. She was a loving wife and mother who found joy in filling her home with love, family, and lots of good food. One of her greatest pleasures was cooking and feeding her family and friends. If you were a guest in her home it was guaranteed she was going to try to feed you, even if you were not hungry. She also had a special place in her heart for her backyard hummingbirds. She had several feeders and quite a large flock that frequented them. She kept those birds well fed with her homemade hummingbird syrup and loved watching them from her kitchen window.
Services will be held Tuesday October 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Dr., Modesto, California 95350. All family and friends are welcome to attend.

We usually saw each other haircut mornings. Rose always had her nails beautifully done (that she did herself). She was one of the best cookie bakers I knew and loved to share her recipes and knowledge. Miss seeing you at Debbie´s counter may Gods angels always shepherd you. The Bakers

As a young bride to be, I was clueless as to ordering and obtaining a wedding cake. I don't remember who referred me, but once I met Mrs Bambacigno, I knew I was in good hands ! Our cake was beautiful and delicious ! I consider it to be our my good luck charm, approaching 50 years of marriage. Sincere condolences.
