Sharon Cox Obituary
September 8, 1942 - December 8, 2020
Modesto, California - On December 8th, 2020, Sharon Arlyne Cox passed away suddenly at her home in Modesto California. She was 78.
Sharon was born to the late Irma and Delmar (Bud) Goldsberry on September 8th, 1942, in San Jose California. She was raised in California and graduated from Lodi High School in 1960.
Following high school Sharon lived in Washington state, Lake Tahoe, Modesto, Monterey, Salinas and back to Modesto. For many years she was the co-owner of Modesto Bowl. She retired from dedicated service to the success of the developmentally disabled, first at Howard Training Center, then for Hope Services.
Sharon was the proud mom of Tim Helmick, Pam Philips (Jeff), Wendy Cox (Pam Riches) and Wade Cox who survive. She was also the grandma to 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was sweetly considered the "4th sister" to Penny, Pam and Kitty, her dearest friends.
In remembrance of Sharon, a small memorial service for family and close friends, will be in the summer of 2021 at Lake Tahoe.
