Susan Birchall Obituary

Susan Anderson Birchall
November 29, 1947 - October 30, 2012
Susan Birchall, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of October 30, 2012, at her home in Hughson, CA. She was 64 years old.
Susan was born to Bruce Anderson and Stella Miller in Dragerton, Utah, on November 29, 1947. She lived her childhood in Utah, Idaho and primarily in Turlock, CA. She was active in debate, speech, music (an accomplished flutist) and cheerleading at Turlock High. She was the oldest of 5 children; Gary, Nancy, Brent, Karen and her step sister Terri.
She was married and sealed for eternity in the Oakland, CA temple on June 2, 1967 to John Kay Birchall.
Susan attended Brigham Young University where she especially enjoyed family development and childhood education classes.
Among her many accomplishments, Susan's real passion and greatest achievement of her life was being a mother and raising her eleven children. Susan was a master at making everyone in the family feel special. Her hobbies consisted of music, cooking, reading, teaching and attending her children's sport, school and other activities... and she always made time for everything, never missing one event.
Susan's labor of love was to teach her children music and organize performances. Many will remember the Birchall Family Singers. It was recently said that Susan was a Super Hero of our time for being such a Super Mom. She did a lot of work behind the scenes to make the large Birchall family grow so beautifully.
She is survived by her faithful husband, John Birchall, her eleven children (and spouses); Kelley (Ken), Holly (Kent), Allison (Todd), Jared (Laura), Jacob (Heather), Nicholas (Molly), Michael (Summer), Valerie (Ben), Jocelyn, Kyle (Kailey) and Madelyn, and her 36 grandchildren. "Mimi", as she was known by her grandchildren, was amazingly gifted in making each grandchild feel special.
She is also survived by her mother Stella and her siblings Gary, Brent, Karen and Terri.
As a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Susan served as a youth leader and an inspiring teacher. You don't have to go far to find someone who was influenced and taught by Susan to better their life and serve the Lord. For 7 years, she dedicated her time to teaching early morning seminary to the youth of Hughson.
Susan was preceded in death by her father Bruce and her sister Nancy.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, November 3 at 10:00am, at the LDS Chapel, 1930 7th St, Hughson. Graveside services to follow.
Eaton Family Funeral Services are in charge of the arrangements, where you may call for more information (209) 492-9222.
Three words that sum up Susan's glorious life; Family, Service and Love.
