Teresa DeLeon Obituary
October 15, 1945 - August 8, 2024
Manteca, California - - Teresa passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Teresa was born in Robstown, Texas. At a very young age she started working in the fields with her family, when she moved to California she worked in the fields until she started working in a dry cleaners pressing clothes. She eventually became a dry cleaner until she wasn't able to work anymore. She is preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe & Velia DeLeon Sr & her son Ricardo Garcia. She is survived by her brothers & sisters; Mary, Jesus, Gloria, Oralia, Lucy, Nelda, Velia, Lupe Jr. Steven & Henry. Her children; Graciela, Cynthia, Nick. 7 grandchildren; Joseph, Adele, Delilah, Ricardo, Jennifer, Velia, Desiree & Nickolas. 7 great grandchildren; Estrella, Emma, Blanca, Alekzavier, Adele, Maizy, & Leilani. Teresa was very proud to be a Tejana, she loved her music loud, her drinks strong, and her sweets sweet. When she was still able you could find her replanting, repotting, or refurbishing something! Teresa loved wearing colorful clothes, lots of jewelry, rings on every finger! Teresa will be missed by all who knew and loved her, she lived to be 78 years old, she lived a good life. She always said, "when I'm gone, do not cry for me, just remember me and take a drink in my honor, I will have no more pain". In Teresa's honor, her family will host a PARTY, Saturday, September 28th at the Princeton Event Center from 2-6 p.m.
