Virginia and I grew up together as a part of that Keyes 'gang'--and on through high school. We even rode horseback into Turlock at one time.
Her parents' home had a lot of interesting places to play in and it was always fun when we were permitted to go visit her. I was remembering today how she, my sister Oleta, Leon Oberkamper, and I would get together to practice for our little school orchestra. Lots of memories!

Virginia will always stay with me. She was the most selfless soul I have ever met and everything I am today is because of the example she set. Heaven just added one more star and on a starry night I will see her smiling down at us.

I remember Virginia as one of our Keyes gang kids. I remember when going to their home on Keyes Road that they had peacocks and I was a bit afraid of them. I also thought that Virginia had a beautiful bedroom with built-ins--- and I really liked it. With years and time, I had lost touch, but was sorry to hear of her passing.
