Yvonne Riley Obituary
June 15, 1962 - March 16, 2021
Turlock, California - Yvonne Margaret Riley, 58, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021, after a brave, 3-year battle with cancer. She graduated from Coalinga High School in 1980, and then graduated from Fresno City College. Yvonne worked for the State of California for 31½ years, retiring in December 2019.
Yvonne met her late husband, Jeff, while living in Fresno. They married in Oakdale, CA, and eventually settled in Turlock where they raised a family. Yvonne was an avid traveler and heavily involved in her children's academics and extracurriculars. Her children were her greatest accomplishments. A woman of faith, Yvonne was also very active in her church and community, known to many as a kind heart.
Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, Jeffrey Riley, and her father, Richard Vargas. Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Cady; her son, Jackson; her mother, Delia Vargas; her sister, Yvette (Ruben) Sandoval; her brothers, Tommy (Mary) Vargas and Michael (Victoria) Vargas; many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life is scheduled for Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 11am, at All Saints University Parish, 4040 McKenna Dr., Turlock. An outdoor reception will immediately follow on the church lawn.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Yvonne's giving spirit.

Yvonne was a wonderful woman. I just found out she passed and am devastated. I hope her children can hold on to the wonderful memories of both her and Jeff.

Oh my stars.. where do I even start..
Yvonne was hilarious, brutally honest, sarcastic and a good friend. I had the honor of working with her and including her throughout my journey of adulthood. I was always able to go to her and talk to her about the things I was going through. And I loved hearing her talk about her love and dedication to her family. We had a great bond that I will always cherish and I will miss her.

Yvonne was a sweet caring person. I was fortunate to witness her marriage to Jeff and the birth of her children. She was a special niece and will be missed, but not forgotten, by many.
