Amelia "Molly" Silva Loera, age 76, of Needles, Calif., passed away peacefully in Apple Valley, Calif. on Sunday, August 15, 2021. She was born on Jan 1, 1945 in Needles, Calif. to Santos and Marcos Loera.
Molly in life loved serving her Lord and Master as a faithful member of The Apostolic Assembly of God Church. As a young woman she enjoyed playing baseball with the local organized softball girls team, and she excelled at the game. Her favorite teams were the Dodgers Baseball and The Oakland Raiders. She worked 25 years for Lab Corp but retired to take care of her sister Alice until the day that Alice passed. Molly could often be found reading her bible, singing the Lord's songs and praying. Molly believed with prayer all things were possible. Her hobbies included arts and crafts but mostly she enjoyed doing God's work which included making and selling Mexican food and the famous tamales to make money for her church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marcos; father, Santos; brother, Rudy Loera; and sister, Alice Loera.
She is survived by her sisters, Stella (Johnny) Mejia, Irene Mendez, Socorro (Ed) Richmond, Elizabeth Loera, Angie (Greg) Davis; and her brother, Eddie (Linda) Loera.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at The Mohave Valley Assembly of God Church, 2020 Regents Rd., Mohave Valley, AZ with viewing at 9 am and funeral services beginning at 10 am. Interment will follow at the Needles Riverview Cemetery.
