GERALD GYURKOVITZ Obituary
Gerald "Butch" ( as he was known by many) Andrew Gyurkovitz, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at University Medical Center, Las Vegas, Nevada after battling metastatic melanoma for over a year. He was born on August 11, 1953 in Jackson, Mich and raised there.
He and his family moved to Thousand Oaks, Calif. in October of 1981, where they lived until April of 2008. He, Carolyn, and Lisa then moved to Bullhead City, where they remained. Gerry graduated from Mohave Community College in May of 2014. He was employed as an IT Specialist at the Aquarius in Laughlin, Nev.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Emma Joy Gyurkovitz.
Gerry is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Carolyn of Bullhead City, Arizona; his children, Ryan (Sarah) of Camarillo, Calif., Lindi (Amir) Soltani of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Jason and Lisa of Bullhead City; grandchildren, Stephanie, Miranda, Loreley, Frederick, Zachery, Alexander, Elizabeth, Lillian, Lindsay, Timothy, and Jocelyn; sisters, Ann (Tom) Gawlik of Holland, Mich., and Sandra (Pete) Dalton of Lakeville, Mich., as well as his parents-in-law, Ed and Doris Fisher of Bullhead City.
A memorial service is planned at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2014 at City Bible Church in Bullhead City, Ariz., a day before Gerry and Carolyn would have celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary.

I was so saddened by Gerry's passing. I worked with him at the Aquarius and he was my go to guy for help. Our mutual frustration with the systems I used and he repaired was our bond. So patient and kind always no matter how messed up I'd made things. I am sure I gave him a good laugh on many occasions. My co-workers and I depended on him and were shocked when told he had passed. His only complaint ever was of tiredness and we all wish we had understood how little time we had left with him. I can only imagine how great the loss of this dear man would be to a family. My sympathy to you. Gerry is missed here also.
