JAMES RICH Obituary

JAMES HARRISON RICH
James Harrison Rich or more fondly known as Coach Rich, Pastor Jim, or simply Jim, a 30 year resident of Mohave Valley, Arizona passed away due to complications of Neuroendocrine Cancer on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 with family at his side in an intensive care unit in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jim was a dedicated and faithful servant of God and an inspiring associate pastor of Desert Bloom Ministries, a church in Ft .Mohave, Arizona that he ran alongside his mother, Dr. Anna Rich. If you had the honor of knowing him you'd know that he was a man of God, a man of hope and grace. He was one of a kind, a devoted husband, father, son and grandfather. He was an incredible friend amongst his other titles. He was a successful business owner of an aerospace company located in Mohave valley, Rich Industries. He had an inspiring passion and love for the outdoors, hunting and baseball. He was a man of hope and an influencer of many generations in our community.
He dedicated years of service to coaching baseball from little league to high school ball, coaching young players and taking them to championships. His greatest love apart from faith and family was that of the outdoors: he loved and enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid sportsman that dedicated years of service with Arizona Wildlife refuge, and Arizona Fish and Game and Hunter Education. The Arizona Game & Fish Department recognized what Jim has done over the years for the Department and sportsmen in Arizona. Knowing that Jim had been involved in teaching over 125 classes over the 20+ years he was involved with the Hunter Education Program, Jim was awarded the Arizona Game & Fish Commission's Buck Appleby Hunter Education Instructor of the Year award twice, once in 2012 and again in January of 2023. Over the 20+ years Jim was an instructor he was promoted to a lead chief instructor. And passionately taught instructors and students the responsibilities of safe, ethical hunting and conservation of this time honored tradition.
Jim Rich was a caring and respected leader in many areas and words can't adequately describe how much he will be missed.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Tracy Rich; parents, Annette and Robert Rich; his children, Nicholas, Mallorie and Lorelai Rich; his grandchildren, Christian Mills, Madasun and Morgun Michaels; and many beloved friends and colleagues.
May his legacy live on through all those whose lives he touched.
As pastor Jim would say, "go and be blessed"
A Memorial Service will be held at the Board of Realtors in Bullhead City, Arizona at 2:00 pm on July 15, 2023. Lunch will be served and loved one, colleagues, friends, are encouraged to come and share your memories."
