LARRY SAWYER Obituary
Larry Sawyer, age 76, a 28-year resident of Laughlin, Nev. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 after a two year illness. He was born on January 25, 1938 in Oakdale, Calif. to Verne D. and Alice M. Sawyer.
Larry attended Oakdale High and Santa Clara University, garnering a Bachelors and Master's Degree. While finishing his education he entered, what would be his life's work, Finance and Banking. Larry was involved with many financial institutions over his 45 plus years. Most notably, he was CFO of Laughlin National Bank until it was sold in 1998. He then became a consultant to financial institutions, finally retiring in 2011.
Larry is survived by his wife, Christine; three children; a brother; several grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
At Larry's wishes, there will be no services. He will be encrypted in Newcastle Cemetery in Newcastle, Calif.
Anyone wishing to honor Larry, may make donations in his name to the American Heart & Lung Association.

Larry was my friend and confidant for for 34 Years. I met him as a client in Bakersfield and from then on we were best friends. He was one of the smartest people I ever knew and enormous fun. I will miss him, as will the dozens of co-workers in Oakland and around the United States. He was a great man.
