MICHAEL SIRCHIA Obituary

MICHAEL L. SIRCHIA
Michael L. Sirchia, age 84, a resident of Bullhead City, Arizona passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2024. Mike was born to Frank and Marjorie Sirchia, on March 7, 1940, in Los Angeles, California.
Mike was an animated storyteller, a talented athlete, and an active community member. He turned his passion for sports to coaching youth sports and teaching his daughters how to play softball. Mike took pride in giving back through his coaching and being an active member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks for 42 years. As a past Exalted Ruler, he spent his time advocating for the charities near and dear to the Elks brotherhood. Mike was also an avid boater. He and his wife Mary were introduced to Lake Mohave in 1968 and spent summers camping in Telephone Cove with family and friends. Mike and Mary eventually retired to Bullhead City and spent their days aboard "Proud Mary," their beloved speedboat, cruising at top speed (safely) up and down the Colorado River.
Mike's pride in his community culminated in his tireless effort to save the character of the Riviera Community and Rotary Park by organizing a grassroots effort to relocate a proposed bridge development over the Colorado River. The bridge was ultimately relocated from Riverview Drive to the Bullhead Parkway, a location that has significantly fewer adverse effects on the Riviera Community, saving the Rotary Park beaches and ballfields for generations to come.
Preceding him in peace were his parents; brother, Art; and wife of 56 years, Mary.
Mike's spirit is carried on by his three daughters, Michele, Felicia, and Elizabeth; his grandson, Kelly; and granddaugher, Kylie; as well as all those who knew and loved him.
In honor of Mike's memory, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Elks Lodge in Bullhead City, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the St. Joseph's Indian School (www.stjo.org) or St. Labre Indian School (www.stlabre.org) in Mike's name.

We were deeply saddened to learn of Mike's passing. Mike and Mary opened their home to us and our Harley buddies every year, for many years. We loved their great stories, which brought memories to where we all grew up. May God's peace be with his family in these difficult days ahead. We will miss Mike's laugh. Thank you for the memories. Our love, Mel and Gloria Viola

Michael will sure be missed, but he is now with Mary again and his brother Arthur. I so enjoyed our talks after Arthur passed. Love ya all, Carol.

We were heartbroken to hear about Mike. He will always be remembered as a fun loving, outgoing guy who loved his wife, and family very much.
