PENELOPE ARAGON Obituary
Penelope Lucille Aragon, age 60, a resident of Mohave Valley, Arizona, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. She was born on February 1, 1965 in San Bernardino, California.
She was a graduate of Needles High School in 1984 where she played softball, volleyball and basketball. She was an inventory clerk at the Avi Casino.
She loved watching movies, gambling, and her favorite TV show "Murder She Wrote".
Penelope was preceded in death by her mother, Joann (Jenkins) Gates; grandparents, Harwood and Minerva Jenkins; aunts, Jerelyn Jenkins, Gayle Drennan, Jennifer Villalobos; and uncles, Gilman Jenkins, Norwood Jenkins , and Neil Jenkins Sr.
She is survived by her son, Robert Aragon of Mohave Valley, Arizona; two daughters, Teresa Estrada of Phoenix, Arizona and Angela (Rudy) Zozaya of Needles, California; brother, Terry Gates Sr of Mohave Valley, Arizona; grandchildren, Caezar, Santino, Drake, Delilah, Ariza, Lincoln, Acelia, Zayden, and Sebastian; aunt, Sharon Henry of Clarkston, Washington; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Traditional Tribal services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the Fort Mojave Tribal Community Center in Needles, California. Reverend Bruce Williams will be officiating.
Graveside services will immediately follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Needles, California.
Arrangements are by Desert Lawn Funeral Home, Mohave Valley, Arizona.
