Patsy Olson Obituary
Pat was united in marriage to Kenneth F. Olson on September 10, 1955, in Beloit. Together with her husband they owned and operated three businesses in McFarland - Ken's Auto, Ken's Car Wash and U Ken Store. Pat was a long-time member of McFarland Optimist and Common Grace (formerly known as Lakeview Moravian Church) in Madison. She was a dedicated volunteer for various Optimist fundraising events and a volunteer at UW sport concessions stands.
Patsy is survived by her husband of 69 years, Ken; their four children, Lori (Peter) Olson-Putz, Robert Olson, David (Debra) Olson and Dan (Lisa) Olson; six grandchildren, Derek (Julie Jordan) Putz, Ryan (Sara Doan) Putz, Joshua (Rebekah) Olson, Alex (Megan Schumaker) Olson, Ethan Olson and Quinn Olson; two great-grandchildren, Sasha Jordan-Putz and Vincent Jordan-Putz; and brother, Ivan Clark. Pat and Ken were also parents to a number of foreign exchange students who became family, Hector, Rene, Ricardo and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister-in-law, Nancy Clark.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, with Patsy's beloved Pastor, the Rev. Staci Marrese-Wheeler presiding. Interment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens in Cottage Grove. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Common Grace or Azura Memory Care. The family would also like to take this opportunity to thank Azura for the wonderful care Pat received and to the Dane County Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) for their invaluable support and resources.
