JoAn Spaulding Obituary
Petersburg - JoAn Kay Spaulding (Gorr) 65 yrs, of Petersburg, MI, died Tuesday June 29, 2021, in Toledo Hospital, Toledo, OH. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, on Monday July 5, 2021, from 12-8PM. She will lie-in-state on Tuesday July 6, 2021, from 10 AM until the services at 11 AM at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Petersburg, MI. Pastor David Vinciguerra will officiate. Cremation will occur at a later date.
Born February 9, 1956, in Toledo, OH. JoAn was the daughter of Alton and Gladys (Krile) Gorr. She was a 1974 Summerfield High School Graduate. She married Jeffery Spaulding on November 27, 1976 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Petersburg, MI. JoAn worked in accounting for Georgia Pacifics formerly Owens Illinois for 40 yrs retiring in 2018. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and loved antiquing and garage sales.
Survivors include: her husband, Jeffery; sons, Shane (Kate), Curtis (Aaron); brothers, Harold (Kathy) Gorr, Jeffery (Candy) Gorr and grandchildren, Landen and Olivia. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Gorr.
Memorial contributions can be made to: Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.

I had the pleasure of working with JoAn in 2013 & 2014. I felt that she was an excellent worker and underappreciated. I was her supervisor and she was a great help to me as a new employee. We became friends and I will miss her FB conversations. She was such a sweet person. God Bless her and her family.
