Monroe - Patsy J. Turner, age 72, of Monroe, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021, at the ProMedica Regional Hospital of Monroe. While she had been in varying health for a few months, this came as a shock to many of those around her.
Born February 18, 1949 in Union County, Tennessee. She was one of five children of the late James and Ina Keck. Pat made her living working at Ford Motor Company. She was an assembly line-worker for over 30 years at the Monroe Ford Plant before retiring in 2007. She left Ford to care for her grandbabies and became a homemaker until they were older. She then went back to work at the Johnson Controls Assembly Plant until February 2020.
In her free time, Pat enjoyed going to and playing at the casino. She loved going on family trips to Las Vegas where they always had a good time. Most importantly, she lived and breathed her family. Pat was the matriarch of the family. She always made sure everyone was taken care of before herself. Pat was a people person and knew someone every place she went. She was known to most as "Nana" and treasured that title deeply. She will be greatly missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
Dear mother of Rhonda (William) Haynes. Loving Nana of Marque (Greg) Sillence and Mariah Haynes. Dearest Great-Nana of Finley Sillence. Beloved sister of Kathy (Robert) Dunn and Jerry Keck. Preceded in death by her parents: James in 1994 and Ina in 2011; her two sisters: Barbara Keck in 1947 and Johnnie Riggs in 2000; and her uncle: Bobby Jo Keck in 2016.
Everyone is invited to a visitation on Friday, May 28, 2021, at Rupp Funeral Home from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Rupp Funeral Home starting at 11 am. Burial will follow immediately to Roselawn Memorial Park.
