Visitation is Monday, 2:00 ~ 8:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, (next to Michigan Memorial Park) 30895 Huron River Dr., Huron Twp., (734) 783-2646.
Funeral service is Tuesday, In~State, 10:30 AM and Service, 11:00 AM at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Taylor, MI. Interment in Michigan Memorial Park. www.mimemorial.com

I still think of Walt often. After his passing, family allowed some care staff to take clippings from his beautiful Christmas Cactus. The segments that I cut took a very long time to root. The plant I have today is quite large, healthy, and last year it bloomed 5 times! I´ve named the plant "Walter" in memory of my friend.

It was my sincerest pleasure to know and serve Walt. He was kind, generous, friendly, and grateful to staff and fellow residents at Stonegate and Devonshire.
Walt loved life, sharing stories and advise, and a good laugh. He was never one to tell a joke, but he appreciated the funny day to day things.
I loved him, and will miss his face and charm. I am so sorry for your loss.
