I'm very sorry . I would have loved to meet Ashleigh I'm hurt to know she's passed. Dwight and Suzanne are truly people who has given just about all the love in the world for others and it hurts to know there going trough something like this as there foster child from a time ago I can surely say Ashleigh was loved. I can't understand why she was taken so soon. I'm sure god has a purpose. I love the Smith family very and hope to see them some day again. God bless Ashleigh .504 6386871

Ever since I heard the news, I can't stop thinking about when I was younger, I never had the typical neighborhood friends and I remember wishing for one.. Then came Ashleigh.. I was so excited, we rode the bus together for a couple years and every day when we would get off she would say these little rhyme "Lynae, Lynae can you come over today".. and I would try so hard to come up with one too..but they were never as funny as hers were. She was truely a blast to be around and I am thankful I got the chance to know her, my heart and prayers go out to the Smith family.

When I learned of this news my heart sank. I grew up with Ashleigh, we would walk back and forth to each others houses laughing the entire way. Car pooling, hide n seek, dressing up Ellie...Ashleigh was a true character and although I hadent seen her in a while I can hear her laughter so clearly! My deepest sympathy to the entire Smith family, you are all in my prayers. Ashleigh will be truely missed.

I've had the chance to meet Ashleigh in her house one Saturday. Her father is my high school cross country coach. Every Saturday, he invites any of his runners for a long run. Afterwards, he makes pancakes in his house. I can remember Coach Smith always telling stories about his daughter. I'd see him glow and proudly smile with love for Ashleigh. When I met Ashleigh on that Saturday, she greeted me with a big smile. I really felt warmth from her kindness. I actually had the opportunity to run with Ashleigh. She was very sweet and genuine. I was someone that she only met once and she gave me one her good condition cross country shoes. Ashleigh and her family have been very wonderful to me. I will pray for them and try my best to support them during this hard time…

I never met Ashleigh but her dad was my Cross Country coach this year. Even though I never met Ashleigh I could tell that she was a very bright person. Coach would always talk about how proud he was of all of his kids. Coach would also talk to his runners about Ashleigh and update us on her races. I send my condolences to the Smith family with all my love! Ashleigh will never be forgotten ... and she will always be loved.
