Josephine Frances Davi passed away Friday January 15, 2021 leaving behind a huge void among her family. She was 97 years young.
Josephine was born the youngest of seven children on May 2, 1923 to Salvatore & Giroloma Cardinalli in Pittsburg raised in Pittsburg & Monterey, CA as her family followed the fishing seasons.
In 1943 Josephine married Joseph A. Davi and together they welcomed & raised five children. They loved to travel the world, especially while their time in the beer business but Josephine's true love was her family. Josephine was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Her passion was to teach and pass on the Sicilian family traditions to each generation. She loved the holidays, cooking, baking and decorating for her family, everyone was welcome, she had an open door policy and an extra place at her table just in case. Our mom also loved to shop, play bingo and the casinos.
She will be truly missed.
Josephine is survived by her children Joe Jr, Cissy, Steven, Gwynne and Debra, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe and her siblings Patrina Aiello, Horace Cardinalli, Mary Aiello, John Cardinalli of Monterey, Rose Felix and Ann Russo of Pittsburg.
A special thank you to the caregivers at The Commons at Dallas Ranch for their care and compassion shown to our mother we will cherish forever.

A funeral mass will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd Spiritual Garden in Pittsburg on Thursday, February 4th at 12:00 noon.
