On Thursday, July 7, 2022, Theresa "Terie" Rosas Rapose passed away at age 63 after a long illness.
Terie was born in 1959 in Salinas, CA to Gilbert Rosas and Mary Rocha. She graduated from Alisal High School in 1977, and worked in banking for more than 40 years throughout Monterey and Santa Cruz counties, with the last 10 years as a mortgage loan officer. She met her husband Jim in the summer of 1976, while cruising Main Street Salinas, and on April 8, 1978, they were married. They raised one daughter, Lindsey, and one son, Jay.
Terie had a joy for gardening, as well as painting, with the latter hobby picked up in the last few years. She was an avid music lover, and spent much of her free time with her family and friends. She was often in charge of organizing family functions and get-togethers. Terie had an infectious spirit of kindness and caring, always willing to step in and help when others needed it.
Terie was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert. She is survived by her husband Jim, two children, Lindsey and Jay (Laura), her mother Mary, her brothers Patrick (Jennifer), Daniel, and Gilbert (Jennifer), sister Sara, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held by family.
