Reding Jr., Curtis Cleveland "Cleve"
Curtis Cleveland Reding Jr., "Cleve", husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him, died after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 69, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 9, 2016. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 47 years, Jane McCoy Reding; two children, Regan Reding (Tim) and Christopher Reding; grandson, Kellen Reding; two sisters, Carrie Tucker (Richard) and Mary Susan Reding. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Curtis and Mary Allen Reding, of Decatur, GA.
For 44 years Cleve practiced law in Montgomery and for 32 of those years was the Standing Chapter 13 Trustee for the Middle District of Alabama. In addition he was the Chapter 12 Trustee for the Middle District of Alabama. Cleve received the AV Preeminent Award, a peer rated award for highest level of professional excellence. He received his J.D. in 1972 from the University of Alabama, his B.A. from the University of Alabama in 1969 and was a 1965 graduate of Decatur High School in GA.
He was a devout follower of Jesus Christ and a founding member of [email protected]
Road in Montgomery, AL where he was a Ruling Elder for most of those 20 years. In his free time Cleve was an ardent golfer and avid Alabama football fan.
His family and friends will remember him as a kind and gentle soul and a true Southern gentleman. A memorial service is being planned for Saturday, October 15th at 10:00am at [email protected]
Road and attenders are requested to wear Alabama colors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to [email protected]
