He was a role model in my life. I look up to him in so many ways. I always saw him with a smile on his face. The passion he had for his work as a biologist spoke volumes to me. He would always say, " I haven't worked a day in my life." He set forth many examples for me and I do my best to follow them. I love you Paw Paw. I will see you soon.

I am sorry I was out-of-town when I heard of Jim's death and unable to attend the services. As a wildlife biologist, Jim was highly respected in the wildlife field and truly cared about Alabama's natural resources. Too bad the younger biologists do not know the roads he paved and programs he started that we benefit from today.
I never worked directly with Jim, but when in Montgomery, would come by and visit with him just to catch up on Alabama's wildlife program updates.
A true wildlifer.
