JERRY ANDREW DORMINY

DORMINY, Jerry Andrew Dorminy, age 68, of Destin, Florida passed away Sun-day, September 24, 2006 in the University of Arkansas for Med-ical Sciences after a coura-geous battle with cancer. Jerry was born in Birmingham, Alabama to James and Edna Helbig Dorminy on August 21, 1938. He was a graduate of the Uni-versity of Alabama and a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, and a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. Through the years Jerry owned numerous restaurants in the area, J.D.¦s, Sliders, The Little Bar, and in 1976 opened The World Famous Hogs Breath Sa-loon on Okaloosa Island, later moving the establishment to Destin and spread nationally and internationally to locations in Key West, New Orleans, Can-cun and Cozumel. He was an avid sportsman, hunting and fishing was his passion. Survivors include his loving wife Sherry Dorminy of Destin, Fl; Son, James Dorminy of Destin, Fl; Daughter, Dru Ann Dorminy of Birmingham, Al and one grandson Michael Dorminy of Destin, Fl, and many many friends and loyal employees. Family will receive friends Tues-day evening from 5-8 P.M. at McLaughlin Mortuary. Funeral services will be con-ducted from the Faith Assembly Christian Church, 306 S. Geroni-mo Rd, Destin, Fl on Wednes-day, September 27, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Toy Ar-nett officiating. Interment will follow in Beal Me-morial Cemetery, Fort Walton Beach, Fl. McLaughlin Mortuary 17 Chest-nut Avenue, Ft. Walton Beach, Fl is entrusted with the arrange-ments.
