Maxie Simmons Obituary
Mr. Maxie M. Simmons, Jr., age 66, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. from Metropolitan United Methodist Church, 3108 Rosa Parks Avenue, with Rev. John Brooks officiating. Massey Memorial Funeral Home directing. The procession will leave from 1933 Woodmere Loop at 10:30. Interment in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Family hour will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 6pm until 7pm at Massey Memorial Funeral Home, 3048 Dorchester Dr.

I just found out that my friend of many years has left us and I didn't know. He has been a friend for over 35 years. I met him when he worked at the Dept. of Industrial Relations. He was a great friend to be with and to laugh with. He loved life and we always talked about his kids and grand-kids. We always called each other for our birthdays. Maxie will be missed by a lot of people, he had a lot of friends. To the family,I will keep you all in my prayers. He was a great guy.
