LEWIS, Mrs. Patsy Witherspoon, 92, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 9, 2015. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from Lilly Baptist Church with Pastor Thomas E. Jordan officiating. The interment will follow in Greenville, Alabama at Hopewell Methodist Church. Mrs. Lewis will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to funeral service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Jeff and Callie Witherspoon, Sr., husbands, James Lowery and George Lewis, three sisters, Jessie Mae Butler, Aleane Hartwell, Clara Henderson, one brother, Jeff Witherspoon, Jr., and a daughter-in-law, Carrie Lowery. She leaves to cherish and love her memories, one son, James Lowery (Dayton, Ohio); two daughters, Annie Lewis (Montgomery, Alabama); Doris Rankins (Greenville, Alabama); three granddaughters, Cheryel Meadows (Charleston, West Virginia); Serida Lowery (Dayton, Ohio); Jekethia (Rodrick) Belser (Marietta, Georgia); two great-granddaughters, Jada and Madison Brooks (Marietta, Georgia); one sister, Willie Pearl Shepherd (Montgomery, Alabama); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who loved her and held her in high regard. The family would like to acknowledge expressions of gratitude and appreciation to Alacare Hospice Staff.
