BARTON, SHARON

Barton, Ms. Sharon Denise "Niecy" of Montgomery, AL passed away January 2, 2015. Funeral services will be held January 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM from Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 3835 Macedonia Dr. Montgomery, AL with Rev. Willie F. McBride, officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Serenity Gardens. She was a member of the Webb Beauty Chapter of the Eastern Star Organization. Sharon leaves to cherish her memories three nephews, Tony Darby, Rochester, NY, Kenya (Kathy) Barton, Upper Marlboro, MD, Germaine Barton, Memphis, TN; one niece, Natasha Barton, Montgomery, AL; seven great nephews, Tony Darby, Jr., Justin Byrd, Damien Byrd, Stephan Byrd, all of Rochester, NY, Denzell Howard and Parker Barton, both of Memphis, TN; two great nieces, Jocelyn Barton, Tuscaloosa, AL and Kenya Janee Barton, Upper Marlboro, MD; and a host of devoted cousins, relatives and friends.

To the family of Sharon, I am truly going to miss her as I often called her my daughter-in-law, if ever I was to have one she would have been the one. We met at the post office where she worked and I always looked forward to seeing her beautiful smile as did my son. He was shocked to hear of her passing but she will remain a household name in our house.
We have lost a beautiful Angel and person, may the light of The Lord shine upon her and may He give her complete rest.

I had the privilege of working with Sharon when she first began working at the Post Office, worked with her at Cloverland Station and kept in close contact with her on Facebook. Will miss her wonderful sense of humor, her encouragement, and the wisdom she shared with us daily.
