BREWBAKER, WilliamStyne, Jr., 73, a lifelongresident of Montgomery,Alabama, died Monday, January 21, 2008. A memorialservice will be held Thursday,January 24 at 12:00 noon atTrinity Presbyterian Churchwith the Rev. Claude E. McRoberts III and Dr. Richard Prattofficiating. Visitation will beWednesday, January 23 from5:00 to 7:00 at Leak-MemoryChapel. Mr. Brewbaker wasthe son of the late WilliamStyne Brewbaker and CassieLeta Brewbaker. He is survived by his wife Carol Lansden Brewbaker and theirsons William Styne BrewbakerIII(Rebecca) of Tuscaloosa,and Dick Lansden Brewbaker(Ruth) and their daughterCarol Brewbaker Rickard (Donald). Mr. Brewbaker is alsosurvived by thirteen grandchildren; Catherine GarnerBrewbaker, Mary LansdenBrewbaker, William StyneBrewbaker IV, RebeccaGrace Brewbaker and Samuel Joseph Brewbaker, all ofTuscaloosa; David LansdenBrewbaker, Thomas GarrettBrewbaker, William McCallBrewbaker, Benjamin LeeBrewbaker, James AlexanderBrewbaker, Margaret Caldwell Rickard, Caroline Christian Rickard, and MarthaClaire Rickard. He is also survived by his cousin DorothyGilmer Rooker of Atlanta. Mr.Brewbaker received A.B. andLL.B. degrees from VanderbiltUniversity, where he was amember of Sigma Chi fraternity and Phi Beta Kappa andplayed on the varsity tennisteam. He served three yearsin the U.S. Air Force as a staffjudge advocate. In 1961, hereturned to Montgomery andjoined his father in the automobile business and succeeded him as President ofBrewbaker Motors. He waspresident of the MontgomeryAutomobile Dealers Association, chairman of the BuickRegional Dealer Council,G.M. President's AdvisoryBoard, G.M. National DealerCouncil, Time Magazinechairman of the Buick National Dealer Council, QualityDealer Award (Alabama)1993.
