Eleanor Feeley Obituary

Eleanor Sheard Marter Feeley a 50 year resident of Lower Gwynedd, died on November 27, 2011, she was the wife of William M. Feeley for 60 years. Mrs. Feeley was born in Haddonfield, New Jersey. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and a Master of Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. She worked as a magazine editor. She volunteered for the Red Cross, the Ambler, Upper Dublin and First Presbyterian Church libraries and served as a tutor at Wissahickon High School. She traveled extensively around the world and was an active member of the Old York Road Garden Club and Outdoor Gardeners. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Feeley is survived by her son Michael Feeley and daughter-in-law Veronika Kramer-Feeley; daughter Noel Feeley and son-in-law Randall Miller; daughter Mary Feeley and her partner Clive Gregson and five grandchildren, Leah Feeley, Lisa Feeley, Nathan Miller, Emily Miller and Harry Miller. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the library fund of the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler, 4 South Ridge Avenue, Ambler, PA 19002-4792. A memorial service will be held at a later time at the convenience of the family. Arrangements made by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home.
