Robert Shippy Obituary
March 6, 1936 - March 15, 2025
Robert "Boots" Shippy, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, at the age of 89.
Born in Freeport, IL, on March 6, 1936, Boots was the son of Harold and Helen Shippy. He is survived by his loving wife, Pam; children, Carman, Blake, Matt, Dorcha; and his grandchildren, Bethany, Devon, Lily, Cash, Hallie, Luella, Billie and Vita. He also leaves behind a great grandson, Parker. Boots was preceded in death by his sons, Jeffrey, Doug and Damon.
He served in the U.S army from 1955 to 1957 during the Korean War. After his service, he built a successful career selling insurance across Arizona on Colorado for over 50 years.
Boots had a zest for life and many hobbies, including racing cars, raising cattle, target shooting, and four wheeling. He especially enjoyed sharing meals made by his wife, which he always considered the best.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, strong work ethic, and deep love for family. His legacy of warmth, strength, and adventure lives on through those who knew him and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on April 16, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Red Mountain Methodist Church in Mesa, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Tunnel Of Towers.
